Among the longest tenured employees at our company, Barbara has successfully taken on a series of challenges since following a former supervisor to Genmab. She works with a wide variety of our colleagues to make sure our processes to advance a medical technology to clinical trials are as smooth as possible. “Teamwork, open communication, respectful, collaborative, innovative and result-driven are words that come to mind when describing our company.”

Jeff points out that our in-depth knowledge and innovation around antibody technology and taking an uncommon approach of matching the target to the antibody platform to help cancer patients is unheard of across the industry. He likes how our decisions are driven by data, and that our people at every level are interested in talking about science and using data to move activities forward.

“Being in translational research, I am able to have an early look at why drugs may work or do not work in our clinical trials,” Jeff says. “I also appreciate being able to contribute to the drug development strategy on a compound development team made up of a lot of individuals across the company. Bridging the gap between the bench and bedside to get the right drug to the right patient at the right time motivates me every day. It is a very exciting time to be in translational research at Genmab.”

Chaitali appreciates how Genmab’s inclusive culture encourages employees to think “outside the box.” “The diversity in the workforce allows us to interact with individuals from different nationalities to come up with unique solutions to complex problems,” she says. “We learn something new every day.”

Helping determine the starting dose for a drug is among Chaitali’s exciting challenges. Her group is involved during the entire drug development process, from Phase 1 trials through drug approval. “Using quantitative tools, we enable the selection of appropriate dose, route and regimen in clinical studies to increase the probability of success in drug development and bring safe and efficacious drugs to patients more quickly and efficiently,” she says.

Chalana was introduced to our company during a nine-month master internship in Utrecht. After finishing her studies, she seized the opportunity to take on a temporary research role with us. She was glad when the situation evolved into a permanent position, and happy to be promoted to a senior research associate in 2018 and, more recently, a principal research associate.

Chalana appreciates how our colleagues want to perform as well as possible. “Because of our clear mission and objectives, our people are motivated to successfully fulfill their responsibilities. I’m glad the Genmab culture is very driven, innovative and motivating. Everyone at Genmab is dedicated and works hard.”
