This Privacy Policy explains how Genmab A/S (“we”, “us”) process your personal data in connection with the consideration and granting of medical education grants, grants for scientific advancement and company sponsorships and corporate memberships as part of our commitment to advancing healthcare and improving patient outcomes.

2) USE OF PERSONAL DATA
Below we have explained the purposes for which we may process your personal data.
- Evaluating your request for a medical education grant, grant for scientific advancement and/or company sponsorship and corporate membership.
- Where relevant, check that individuals and organizations connected to the application (including you) do not appear in the public list of persons currently debarred pursuant to sections 306(a) or (b) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (21 U.S.C. 335(a) or (b).
- Manage collaboration and payments (we process the information required to enable payment for relevant activities).
- Document communications directed to Genmab and providing replies to questions/comments.
3) CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA
We only process the personal data that you submit to us and that is required for the evaluation of your request. This might include: full name, email address, telephone number or other contact details we might need to reach out to you in contact with your application, job title, organization you work in and, in some cases and only when relevant, academic background, professional qualifications, publications. and job experience.

The personal data we use are provided by you.
5) LEGAL BASIS
We may process your personal data described above based on the following legal basis:
Art. 6 (1) (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the EU; processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data.
The legitimate interests that we pursue in connection with the processing of your data are:
- To enable us to evaluate and process your application
Should you be awarded funds pertaining to a medical education grant, grant for scientific advancement or company sponsorship or corporate membership we will process your personal data based on Art. 6 (1)(b) of the GDPR; processing of your personal data is necessary for our performance under our contract with you.
6) SHARING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We may share your data with Genmab group entities and with our Grants & Sponsorship platform provider, SteepRock Inc.
7) TRANSFERS TO COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE EU/EEA
We will retain your personal data for a period of five (5) years for documentation purposes.
8) RETENTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your personal data may be transferred to countries outside the EEA, which are not deemed to provide an adequate level of protection of your personal data compared to the EEA. Instead we have provided appropriate safeguards through EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

9) YOUR RIGHTS
In general, you have the following rights:
- You are entitled to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data.
- You are entitled to oppose the processing of your personal data and to request restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- You have in particular an unconditional right to oppose the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
- If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you are entitled to revoke such consent at any time. Revocation of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to your revocation of consent.
- You are entitled to receive personal data which you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (data portability)
- You can always lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the Danish Data Protection Agency.

There may be conditions or limitations on these rights. It is therefore not certain for example you have the right of data portability in the specific case – this depends on the specific circumstances of the processing activity.
