Compound Development Team Leader

In order to strengthen the Project Management team, Genmab is looking for an experienced Compound Development Team Leader (CDTL) who will be based in Copenhagen or Utrecht.

As CDTL at Genmab, you will provide leadership to cross-functional international pro-ject teams. You will report to the Vice President, Project Management and to the Senior Director, Operations and Resource Management.

As CDTL you will: 
• Develop and execute the project strategy for early stage antibody development projects from clinical candidate selection up to and including first human trials.
• Lead Compound Development Teams (CDTs) for two to three (co development) projects at different stages. 
• Build team and maintain team effectiveness and satisfaction, and lead the CDTs to achieve their goals through the networks of people/functions repre-sented in the teams. When necessary, negotiate with line function heads on project deliverables. 
• Challenge all functions on the CDTs to ensure that all issues and questions are being addressed, and that line function input into strategy and plans is ad-equate to meet the needs of the compound. 
• Identify potential issues and lead contingency planning; lead CDTs problem solving and apply decision-making tools and techniques. Drive CDTs to make effective and efficient decisions. 
• Lead resolution of conflicts of the CDTs, Project Board (and potentially Portfo-lio Board), joint steering committee (for a partnered compound) and senior management levels. 
• Act as co-chair of joint development teams with alliance partner(s) and align global strategy within a partnership, as applicable. 
• Lead the communication of strategy, issues, and plans to the Project Board, Portfolio Board, alliance partners and other key stakeholders. 
• Be accountable for overall budget and project plan deliverables. 
• Work with functional management to secure the required resources for project success, to influence optimal team composition, to align goals and objectives with CDT members, coach, guide CDT members, and provide input for per-formance evaluation of CDT members. 

You have at least 5 years of work experience as a Project Manager in biotechnology or 
Life Science companies. You have strong experience of project management with 
projects covering areas from research to early clinical phases (preferably within 
biologics/oncology). You are fluent in English and you are able and willing to travel.

You have a relevant degree, preferably a Post Graduate Degree (PhD) within Life Science. 

You are an experienced Project Manager with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. As a leader, you are flexible, agile and results-oriented with a strong focus on executing strategy and delivering on objectives. You are a builder of high performing cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
