Copenhagen, Denmark; December 15, 2006 – Genmab A/S (CSE:
GEN) announced today that Amgen has updated the development status of AMG
714 (formerly referred to as HuMax-IL15), on its website. AMG 714 is
a fully human monoclonal antibody directed against interleukin-15 (IL-15)
that is being developed under an agreement with Genmab. A Phase I
clinical study of AMG 714 is now underway. IL-15 blockade has
potential utility in a wide variety of inflammatory diseases, such as
rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease, lupus,
multiple sclerosis, and others.
