GENMAB EXPANDS CLINICAL DEVELOPMENT CAPABILITIES

Senior Clinicians Join Development Staff

Copenhagen, Denmark; February 13, 2001 - Genmab A/S (CSE: GEN and Neuer Markt: GE9D) has expanded its clinical development department with the addition of Dr. Ole Baadsgaard and Dr. Rinette Andreasen, both of whom join Genmab from leading Danish research institutions. Dr. Baadsgaard has joined the company as Medical Director. Dr. Andreasen is a new Project Manager heading the Company's EGFr and IL15 development projects, Dr. Andreasen is also serving as Genmab's Safety Officer.

Dr. Baadsgaard is an accomplished clinical researcher and most recently served as Senior Consultant for the dermatology department of KAS Gentofte and as Assistant Professor at the University of Copenhagen. He was previously an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Michigan in the United States. Dr. Baadsgaard earned his Medical Degree from Arhus University in 1978 and received a Doctor of Medical Science Degree from Copenhagen University in 1992.

Dr. Andreasen has previously served as Medical Director at Novo Nordisk A/S and International Clinical Project Manager for Clinical Drug Development on NovoSeven. Dr. Andreasen earned her Medical Degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1979 and received a Doctor of Medical Science Degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1989, her thesis was titled "Murine and Human Monoclonal Antibodies in Differentiations and Characterization of Human Myeloid Cells".
